Re: Hasbro MP-10 Optimus Prime

The first release (1984) edition came with metal plates, bloated hands, bloated gun, bloated fuel pump, bloated nozzle, and grey Roller.

The 1985 edition did come with a light blue roller, but that was quickly replaced by a purple one and the light blue was reassigned to the G2 mold. All Optimus' starting in 1985 came with the "regular" sized gun, hands, fuel accessories, and the metal plates were removed.

Re: Hasbro MP-10 Optimus Prime

the Hasbro g1 prime has the blue roller just like in mp10 Hasbro, never said roller was light blue hes a dark blue. mp 10 prime is a lighter blue than the Takara mp10.. your g1 prime is the pre rub gray version... the mass of g1 primes came with a blue roller....

was just going to say that but you hit it on the head. other way Hasbro mp10 is going to be twice what takaras mp 10 is going to be worth.

Re: Hasbro vs. Takara MP-10 Differences

To me, the hasb one is the living Optimus and the tak one looks like he's dead and the matrix is gone.

Re: Hasbro vs. Takara MP-10 Differences

The tak version will always be worth more then the hasbro version IMO and from past releases. Takara is FAR more respected for quality control etc etc. Hasbro half asses their way through it all the time and everyone knows that so I think your fooling yourself about hasbro ever being worth more then takara.
Only reason hasbro prime is worth so much right now is because they were rare. But that will level out over time.

I own 2x hasbro primes and 1x Takara prime.

Had 3x hasbro primes but helped a buddy out.
