Macross/Robotech fans?

Any Macross/Robotech fans out there? And if you are, do you like building/painting models? I ask because I just threw money at this kickstarter that's ending in about two days.

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/...-rpg-tacticstm

All the models are 1/285 scale so they're small, but you get lots of valkyrie fighters, zentradi battle pods, etc. I like how they're all to scale with each other. It should be easy to build some neat dioramas out of them.

Oh, and it's also a miniatures game that I'll probably never play. But the models are cool!

And on a TF related note, I fully intend to paint one of my valkyrie fighters like this: http://www.macross2.net/m3/forfanson...ts-jetfire.jpg

Re: Macross/Robotech fans?

Damn this looks cool. I may not be a fan of Macross itself, but I've always loved the Valkyrie design. Guess it would be no surprise that G1 Jetfire is one of my all-time characters and that it is my opinion that we need a new FoC toy for him.

Re: Macross/Robotech fans?

This year marks the 30th anniversary of Macross. There are quite a few amazing various Valkyrie figures releasing this year.

Re: Macross/Robotech fans?

Robotech/Macross is my favorite anime series and is one of the reasons I still enjoy watching anime today.

Thanks for the heads up, I may never find anyone to play this with but they'll be fun to paint.

Re: Macross/Robotech fans?

Macross fan here but not Robotech....those are really nice cute little figures....id love to paint some of those....i used to customize some valks before but not enough time to finish them all....i think your best bet is to use valejo paints...those paint are specifically used for warhammer kits.....

Re: Macross/Robotech fans?

Yes I should clarify that I like The Original Japanese Super Dimension Fortress Macross, not the American Robotech Edit.

I am also an old school UC-era Gundam guy. Sadly due to work I rarely have the free time to built and paint all the Gunpla kits I bought. Same with my WIP custom TF.

Robotech such an awesome series. Though, I have a very important question for everyone... Minmei or Lisa?
