Put a monthly amount for TF and save up for larger item rather than getting random figures.

1. To only buy figures that fill in the holes in my season 1-4 collection.

2. Complete the custom figures I’m working on.

3. Have a bigger and better display area so I don’t have to rotate my collection so much.

4. Figure out how to post pics.

5. Sell more than I buy.

Same, need to budget better. I'm new to collecting (about 18 months in) so I constantly feel like I need to play catch up before the older stuff gets even more rare. How ever I'm now at about 150 figures (90% CW/TR/PotP; 10% 3P) so I feel like that is a good base to start really being more selective. I would like to just stick to third party because the quality and engineering is so much better but its hard to beat a well done hasbro deluxe for straight up fiddling/play value.

Re: Do you have any New year's resolutions this year? (Toy related)

I've been slowly narrowing down my collecting. I didn't buy any of the last movie figures (No loss there) and didn't buy any Robots in Disguise though I was tempted to get the characters from the main cast.

The last few years have been only Generations and Masterpiece, and my current plan is to end my collecting after Power of the Primes and only buy Masterpiece after that. Of course we'll have to see what Hasbros plan is beyond POTP for the CHUG line.

I've been buying Transformers since 1984 and I'll never stop following the brand but I am slowly curbing money spent on figures.

Only have a modest collection after selling everything years ago. Now I'm into collecting again, but only certain characters/figures. My goal is to finish filling in the backlog on my list, which is less than 20 figures, then only buy new stuff. And then only figures that really strike my fancy. The one I'm most looking forward to this year is Masterpiece Dinobot.

Re: Do you have any New year's resolutions this year? (Toy related)

I think I'm in the same boat as a lot of people on here. My goal is to cut back and sell some old stuff.

Last year is the first time I ever sold Transformers. Overall I enjoyed it - gathering the stuff together and taking photos and all. I also cut back substantially on buying.

I see my "modern" collection as being near complete - with a few upcoming Power of the Primes figures I will have modern updates of my G1 collection which is fairly complete 84-86 plus a dash of 87.

Of course when they announce a titan sized Scorponok I'll be in (he'll replace Energon Scorponok). I also have really enjoyed the Beast Wars Masterpiece so I'm in for them. I'd probably be in for Masterpiece 86 movie cast.

Although that sounds like quite a bit, I think the figures I pick up will be fewer and farther between. I only have 3 figures from all of RID and 2 from the last movie so I'm on track to cutting back.

Interesting theme here. Is this foreshadowing to a slowing market? It's almost as if everyone has a year long plastic hangover.
