Kreo Love <3 pics, mods and ideas

Hi all,

I wanted to start a thread for those of us to share some Kreo Love, pics, mods and ideas so post away. Sitting here playing with the Kreo this morning with my son and he started spitting out some great ideas that I thought "hmmm maybe I should post that on the boards"

So here is what he'd like to see:

A Kreo Metroplex, Lmao because that could get pretty crazy.

And he thought of Boat Vehicons, that one made me laugh because it makes the whole Vehicon thing full circle land, air and sea. I'm going to see what I can do about that one though I may have to find 34 more Vehicons.

Right now I'm working on Kreo Onslaught and seeing if I can give him a proper trailer for his alt mode and then fitting all 5 characters into Bruticus

The Metroplex would be awesome. It seems Hasbro cooled off a bit with Kreo as it seemed to sell quickly initially, then overstocked and discounted heavily...now it seems to be frequently on sale.

I think large Kre-O sets that are more like playsets would be great.

They could do the the Ark/Teletraan 1, Decepticon base control room, and non-transforming Autobot & Decepticon cities (maybe include Microchangers of Scamper & Full Tilt).

Hasbro took a hard hit during Kre-Os first year with a lot of people not liking the big robot assembly concept.

I imagine if they launched with THE ARK as the big set, a smaller shuttle, Ratchet's Lab mini set or some other "key" locations or playsets they would have done a lot better.

It's why the focus took a big shift after 2012, at Botcon, they saw first hand all the clearance and sales retailers were doing with the brand and they even were giving out free Kre-O sets at Botcon to stir up more interest cause they were worried people were giving up on it.

The focus to the Kreons minifigs is the best move.

It was actually a Bumblebee at first, I just swapped yellow/black parts for red/blue ones and the Prime head.

There are 2 projects I want to do if I can find the time:

-a truck-robot-gorilla Optimus triple changer (just a cab that does all 3 or a Prime/truck cab that combines with his trailer for a super gorilla mode)
-another Optimus that forms his regular robot mode much like Gobots Road Ranger

this is how i like to add the 5th blind packed character onto their combiner sets.
on the single blind figure,only the upper torso is reused with arms still attached and the legs,seperated from the crotch.
the torso chunk gets stacked as the first torso piece above the combiner bot's crotch,then the arms are swung up and back creating a more beefy looking midsection side areas.
the two legs are then clipped onto the sides of the combiner in questions upper thigh sides to help beef those out.
in the end the combiner gets more beffy and proportionate looks.
what's left of the combinerset and blind packed bits are also added in where possible.
