Legacy Deluxe Skullgrin Behind the Scenes
Hasbro Transformers designer Mark Maher has posted on his Instagram yet another behind-the-scenes look at a new Transformers figure. This time he’s taking a look at Legacy Deluxe Skullgrin: “Legacy Deluxe Pretender Skullgrin was a project challenge that really wreaked havoc on my emotions. . Last minute these Pretenders were approved for slots slated for dropped characters. Ever since that old Straxus redeco toy Bill Rawley worked on in 2010, I?ve always wanted a proper Dauros from Super God Masterforce but also utilizing what was done as the original G1 toy. All of that equals an absolutely crucial design » Continue Reading.

Re: Legacy Deluxe Skullgrin Behind the Scenes
As a Masterforce fan and also soft spot for pretenders (it's what was out when I was a pre-teen), this is a no-brainer, I'm going to support Pretenders in order to encourage Hasbort to make more
With that said, all these pics doin their damnedest to not show us the hollow forearms that the fists flip out from, lol
Also "the accessory loadout on this guy is unreal" -> partsforming tank treads confirmed, haha

I mean fists flipping out and "hollow" forearms isn't like, a rarity in transformers.

I would buy toys from "Hasbort"
Of course I would expect them to sell Gobots rather than transformers.

Re: Legacy Deluxe Skullgrin Behind the Scenes
This guy's alt mode would have been way cooler if they had that crotch skull be on the front of the tank.
How it ended up, the toes look very awkward as the front of the tank. The tank itself looks very squared and blocky. The concept looks more smooth and sleek. I always hate it when arms just hang out the back end too.
The hollow forearms can actually be covered up with those blades, so he can have arm blades. That's a neat touch.
And he has a tail...
Overall, it's a good mishmash of designs, but I think it would have looked less disjointed if the body was more rounded to match the roundedness of the skull head.
