Paypal

Does anyone know any other way to get my money back from a paypal transaction? I sent it as a gift(which I now know is dumb), and haven't got my stuff yet. Can anyone shed any light?

Re: Paypal

I'm pretty sure you are screwed if you sent it as a gift.

Hence why payments for goods should never be sent as a gift - Always offer to pay the paypal fees if the seller barks about it, it's just safer that way.

Re: Paypal

yup, OP is pretty much screwed.
Other thing about paypal is that unless the payment is larger amount or item never arrives, they don't really care about the buyer.

They should always care about each and every transaction.

Re: Paypal

Well if the reciever of the Paypal recipient isn't honouring the transaction then thats not good either. Money is money in the end. Why don't you contact the recipient to honour the money and fulfill the transaction. Isn't there a way to freeze a payment. If you used your credit card then call them if it is a serious issue.

Most times when I get a parcel it has gift written on it to avoid the customs hassles

Re: Paypal

Thats crap then. I would contact my Credit Card holder and explain to Paypal the reason. Your card has insurance for things like this. Just be very clear in your explanation to both.
I had an problem with purchasing a $2 comic on Ebay with Paypal. The seller wanted like $50 to ship a comic inter canadian. I had to do a full what why when how to both to get my money back cause it was a scam. But in the end I didn't have to pay. Write a letter of intent to the vendor.
If they don't honour it again then write a letter to Paypal and the credit company with a copy of the intent letter. You should get some kinda reaction.

Re: Paypal

Ouch. Then start a email investigation with Paypal. Keep at it and don't let up. To be heard your gonna have to scream at them. Possibly more than once and if that is the case. Make sure you make note of that to. Squeaky wheel gets the grease. Send a copy of your Emails to the vendor to paypal as well. The more info the better.
