The post on TFW now seems to suggest it's indeed a voyager class, which makes sense for the supposed price point. But I'm not impressed with this mold either for the same criticisms - the hollow forearms are an eyesore and likely also means no wrist swivel (much like Mania King in that last regard), but the tread kibble under tricep does a horrible job of trying to fill the lack of width of the arm altogether and is very distracting.
Torso also looks too squat and kinda fat.... the red abs should be lower on the body somehow in proportion to the head, or that the head isn't big enough, or that the detail of the red abs are simply too large in comparison to the size of the torso.
Nope, think I'm going to hold onto my Mania King this time around. For those that criticize the horns on Mania King being too exaggerated, it's an easy fix to take an emery board to sand down the pointed tips.
As for the Headmasters, Skullcruncher looks interesting but I'm disappointed that he doesn't have the black visor; it's like they painted a huge yellow nose to divide his eyes, lol. Not a fan of that but could be an easy fix to just take a black sharpie to the top half and restore the visor look if that middle piece isn't too far raised.
Hardhead looks great except for the hollow limbs once again, but comparing alt mode to bot mode in those pics, the transformation seems very suspiciously similar to G1 Hardhead's transformation with just the likely addition of ball joints for the hips and maybe a waist swivel. Will love to see comparison photos between this and Toyworld's Hardbone.
