Re: Northmen Collectibles NMC Toys - not impressed

An update for everyone....

I was not able to get my Transformers order.

However, I did get full store credit. I just asked. "Please cancel order #, #, and #. I request Store Credit instead." Polite, and to the point. My wife did the same.

I then placed a new order, using the credit, and received everything I ordered. He even Expediated the shipping at his own cost. As a result, my niece got several extra Christmas presents, and I picked up reissues of some old Star Wars board games, a Gundam, a robotic model kit, and the white Battlecharger (Runabout?) which was not in my original order. My wife got one of those high end 'Iron Spider' Marvel figures from the MCU from her credit. Within a few days of the order. I think my wife has $2 left, and I have $1.50 left that we are just waving off.

I'm now inclined to believe his claims of difficulty getting Transformers toys in. (He should probably stop putting them up for pre-order, but that's no longer my concern).

My suggestion to everyone - Find stuff on his website that is in stock that you wouldn't mind owning (or know you can resell at cost), ask for store credit, place the order, and get what you can. Even if it's something you'll have to sit on for a year or two to resell.

From what I’ve gathered throughout this thread, Orders for in stock items tend to be ok. Never ever preorder items though.

If the items are actually "in stock" and not on preorder, it should be fine.

Don't take the chance, is not worth it dealing with this guy.

You'll have to deals with a person who has ego and lack of common courtesy issues, and always belittles his customers.

Listen to these guys and the many other that have posted their experiences with this guy. This thread is 60+ pages long, our board members aren't picking on this business, just helping by posting warnings. Not worth the stress & shenanigans.
