Same. I switched over to avast (as I did not trust AVG anymore) and it says I'm clean, but I'm getting random reboots and a very unhappy system overall. I'm guessing that a reformat is in order.

But on the plus side... Automaton works again! Yay!

I just switched to Avast and am running a scan as I type this so far it has found 3 infected files that AVG didnt get.

For anyone still having problems (i.e. slow PC) after AVG detects the problem...

Try a free online scan. Indeed, I've seen AVG miss viruses and greyware. housecall.trendmicro.com and www.bitdefender.com are two that I've tried in the past that worked well.

Wound having to restore Windows,and reinstall everything from scratch. Luckily I had my Itunes Backed up and managed to get my Pictures onto a memory stick.

Good freakin times....
