Re: Problems with Automaton Website (Virus?)

i've been having the same problem for a month now and this is what Mario has to say:

Thanks for the heads up. At first, this issue seems like very isolated, since only 2-3 of our customers got the warning. We are aware of the problem: both our webhosting service and webmaster are actually working on this issue. So far,it seems that our website is not under attack by a virus, it is rather more likely some oddities in the website programming that could be interpreted as a Trojan by some anti-virus on some of our customers computers. This issue, however, should be totally solved by the upcoming week: I will personnally look for it.

Re: Problems with Automaton Website (Virus?)

I now wonder if it's a bad sign that my antivirus is no longer warning me... ?

Re: Problems with Automaton Website (Virus?)

Well these "oddities" manage to shut off my firewall twice. as well as make random email addresses appear in my hotmail login screen.

Hope they get it solved soon.

Re: Problems with Automaton Website (Virus?)

I tried to go to their site earlier this week and my Avast antivirus program detected a trojan horse virus and stopped the download.

Re: Problems with Automaton Website (Virus?)

Hi everyone,

Well, all I can say is that I'm totally pissed off right now: I've talked to both my webmaster and my webhosting service right this morning and both ensured me that the issue has been solved(?). Obviously, someone there is lying to me or is sleeping on the switch.

I'm as surprised as all of you tonight to hear that this problem is still there. So, in the first time, in my name and for Automaton, absolutely sorry for this: I will personnally see that the issue is solved for good asap.

We will produce a Newsletter and have it post on Cybertron.ca soon as we are 100% sure that the problem is solved....for good this time hopefully.

Regards,
Mario
Owner of Automaton Toys
(grabbing the phone right tonight and begin to investigate).
