Yeah, no huge loss there. All we get are a slideshow of BotCons and ComicCons sloppy seconds. The only "exclusive" stuff we get from them is some info if this figure or that figure will make it to Canada. And even that isn't too reliable.
Just look at Amazon.com exclusive Unicron. He was supposed to be a CostCo exclusive here, but instead ended up at Toys R Us still clogging the shelves today. Or look at BattleOps Bumblebee, who was a CostCo exclusive last year, and did show up at CostCos in Canada, but then for some reason popped up in WalMart around the holidays on clearance for $20! Or look at the last wave of Universe 2.0 voyagers. We thought we missed out on them, but then they suddenly show up at WalMart for $10!
All in all, things must be crazy at Hasbro Canada! And if they do decide not to come one year, no big deal. Just means we'll be left in the dark on when and where we'll get the next exclusive Bumblebee repaint will be.
Nothing against the Hasbro Canada guys. I love seeing them at TFcon every year. And I know they work very hard trying to get us as many of the States' exclusives as they can. Which is very much appreciated. It's that they don't do as much for TFcon as Hasbro USA does for BotCon. Bring us some exclusive figures and then it'll be a different story.
