Re: Boxed or loose signed stuff
On occasion I have a box/card signed,... to have a loose piece autographed doesn't appeal to me,.. a box or card can be displayed with or with out toy and as far as space I have had the box/card signed and flattened framed and placed on a wall its kinda nice to have a voice artist signature along with the artwork on a box/card,.. a nice memento and reminder of meeting some vary nice people.

Every year there are guest artists and regular fan artists selling prints...ranging from the standard 8x10 to the big poster sized, and ranging from character group shots (for multiple voice actors) to single shots. Sometimes, a mug shot photo of the actor/actress.
If you're specifically only looking at toys....then my vote would be SEALED.

This pretty much. Prior to TF Con I usually look for a print I really like depending on to who is there and bring that to have signed. The only exception I made was when Garry Chalk was there and asked for an additional sig for my Titanium Optimus. To be honest Titanium are best displayed in box cause most just fall over IMO. This year will be awesome for autographs for me

Re: Boxed or loose signed stuff
I voted sealed but personally, if I could attend, it would be a mib g1 megatron. I'm not sure if the value would increase but it would just be personal display item so it wouldn't matter

I'm impressed you were able to post from the future
"UPDATE May 22/2016"
But I would say sealed and signed. I have 6 or 7 signed items from Peter Cullen, I have several others from various voice actors, all sealed. They are amazing to display that way.

Re: Boxed or loose signed stuff
I prefer box and or poster over toy as I can always put toy in box /card and display or just box/card..or box front the signature I was always afraid would rub off of the toy since I like to transform my pieces so paper it is lol

Why not both?
If you can't get both then go with your favourite.
For example, one of my signed items is a Galaxy Force Galvatron signed by David Kaye because he did the voice in the Cybertron Cartoon.
It didn't matter to me that the toy was the Japanese version.
I have several Japanese Optimus Prime's that are signed by Peter Cullen, doesn't make them any less cool to me.

Re: Boxed or loose signed stuff
That Rhino animation cell from their box sets sounds like a good idea since I don't have anything sealed for Frank Welker to sign
