Re: TF:Prime - When should Optimus die?
Even though having Prime die is "overused", I believe he'll die in TF:Prime. First, this series has a good "dark" feel to it. A couple of characters have already died. Second, many kids watching the show may not be aware that he has died in most other series. Self sacrifice and respect for humanity is core to who Optimus is. With idiots like Miko around, there are plenty of opportunities that may require Prime to sacrifice himself. Our world needs self sacrificing heroes as role models for kids, even in cartoons. Many other "heroes" in current day children's cartoons are goofy and self serving. Optimus Prime is unique these days for the 4-10 year olds. Sorry I digressed. I think he dies for a long period of time and requires enormous team work and danger to bring him back, hopefully in some super/powered up form to conquer evil once again!
