Re: Poll: How many of your Takara Masterpiece figures have QC issues

I have had some bad luck in the paint department on a few MP figures. Most recent being MP Bumblebee. I posted pics in the Masterpiece Appreciation thread just now.

Others off hand I recall are...

Soundblaster - fingerprint right on the front of the cassette player where the metallic silver paint is

Sunstorm (Hasbro) - sloppy paint. Posted a pic here

Some others have minor overspray which I can overlook. But the above are unacceptable to me.

At least you got all the parts. The Buzzsaw that comes with my Hasbro MP Soundwave doesn't have a head

Re: Poll: How many of your Takara Masterpiece figures have QC issues

Of my 10 Takara Mp's I found the following issues

1. slightly uneven, if symmetrical paint on Bumblebee
2. Gold Megatrons ball joints and right arm all needed The Floor Wax Resolution
3. tiny chip on Eva Prime's foot, invisible in bot mode

Nothing devastating, but annoying nonetheless.

For that price, EVA Prime should be perfect.

Re: Poll: How many of your Takara Masterpiece figures have QC issues

Well I can't change my vote but BB is the first one I've gotten with things I can blatantly notice. Front "grill" is is brighter than the rest of the car mode and I just noticed the tail light pieces are a different shade but since bot are hidden in Bot mode I can live with it. Let's hope this doesn't continue on Takaras future models

totally forgot about that one. Had to perform knee surgery on him.

Also, although Hasbro, my MP Optimus Prime had really loose ankles. Same with my 2010 Hasbro Grimlock. Standing is not so easy for those two.

Re: Poll: How many of your Takara Masterpiece figures have QC issues

Next one is 50% of the Hasbro Rodimus today.

Most today will break at the shoulder due to bad plastic issues.

I love my Rodimus, but that mold has a bad luck with plastic choices.

Get the MP-09 Takara and call it a day.
