International Shipping ?
Maybe someone here will be able to provide me with a little insight.
Almost a month ago I won an auction from Ebay. Item was shipped out on Feb 28th from Wisconsin and I still haven't received it.
I contacted the seller, and they sent it first class mail international and don't have any tracking on it. But they do have a customs number..
Anyone know what I can do with the customs number?? And is 3 weeks a little early to get concerned about it being lost.. I thinking I should be concerned if I don't see it by the end of 4 weeks.
I know it took forever for my Full Tilt to arrive, but I don't remember offhand where in the US he came from.
Thanks!

Re: International Shipping ?
It usally takes 3 weeks comming from the states or overseas unless its held up in customs,... thats depends on when it was shipped and if it was posted on a weekend thats by cheapest method,(EMS three/four days tracked/insured).. typicaly for me its been any where between the 3 weeks and I usally let it go over a couple of days before contacting the seller if you have a customs number you can contact them its a coin toss as to you get an answer or not but worth the try.

Re: International Shipping ?
Sounds like it might have gotten caught up in customs, i'd give it another week at least.

Re: International Shipping ?
Thanks guys, I did some google fu on the customs number. And it appears to be a toss up whether you can get info from that number or not.
It won't be a month until next week, hopefully it arrives before then.
It's only $15.50, I feel the seller is being honest. So, if something happens it's not too much. I have 4 things in the mail right now, hopefully they all arrive safely.

Re: International Shipping ?
I'd give it time; takes about two weeks for most US shipped to get to Southern Ontario. seeing that you're a bit further to NB, 3 weeks is still early to be getting worried.
With the customs number, once the item crosses into Canada, you!l have to use the tracker at Canada Post online; USPS online won't update it most of the time.

Re: International Shipping ?
what everyone else said so far.
give it time.
it's just customs, and waiting for them to get up off their tails.
the last thing i got from the usa took almost 7-8 weeks to arrive,"after" the seller sent it.
again,customs

Re: International Shipping ?
Good lord... 3 weeks... call USPS right now that's not normal!!!
I usually wait about a month for anything shipped from outside of Canada, I've had a package held up in customs for 2 weeks... Your package is safely waiting in a huge pile somewhere, probably among other tformers, so he's in good company.

Re: International Shipping ?
I wouldn't panic yet. Like others have said things take a long time to get here sometimes. Try the customs number on the CP site and see if it gives you anything. I recall having luck with that once... it might have been going to the US though... I cannot remember.

Re: International Shipping ?
Arrived today in the mail. So just under a month to come from Wisconsin.
Only problem was his description was not exactly accurate.. Which seems to be a running theme with Ebay. But that's another topic.
So, everything's good. A Month seems to be a good estimation for regular mail.

Re: International Shipping ?
The funniest thing I find with USPS is their naming: "First Class mail". Makes it sound so fancy, but it's really just the barebone step-up from Third Class mail.
As far as I can tell:
- Third Class mail - "we'll tie to the back of a sewer rat, and maybe it'll make it... somewhere... eventually."
- First Class mail - "we'll move it when we have space... and only if we're in the mood to do it."
- Priority mail - "we'll move it."
Sucks that their "third" level of shipping method is what anyone would consider "standard" shipping.
