Micro Screws??
Hey guys! I bought 1/3000 SDF-1 Macross Assembly kit by Yamato. Well, to make a long story a bit shorter, to assemble this kit it is held together by micro screws, and from the parts list there are several sizes of these screws. I have gone through the several bags of tiny screws that were enclosed and it was pretty much like seperating pepper from fly shit. lol When I was finished I was short several screws,(pardon the pun) I guess this is a common issue with this kit. So here is my question to you guys. Do any of you guys know where I can find these micro screws online or stores ect? The sizes I need are M1.8x6mm for 34 screws, M2.0x6mm for 83 screws, (I beleive these are what is called a "Phillips Pan Head") and finally Phillips Flat Head M2.0x5mm for 2 screws.
Any help would be appreciated. I have this kit all laid out and ready to go.

Re: Micro Screws??
Wow, never heard of these types of screws...best of luck finding them.
Actually, I googled briefly, and this Australian website seems to carry the first size...

This US website seems to treat them as laptop screws (the M2 ones anyways)...

Re: Micro Screws??
You may try and contact Brafasco. They are a specialist store in machine threaded items.
You may also want to try Michaels or something similar. In their jewelry crafting section.

I would do that, but that's my problem, they are missing from the kit. From what I've been able to see from online search they look like the same type of screws that are used in Transformers. The only differences between the types of screws is the diameter of it. Some are 2mm and some are 1.8mm, with the exception of the "flat head" which has a flat head. lol

Re: Micro Screws??
Yeah, I am glad I could provide you some leads, and would love to have been able to find a single supplier to provide you all the screws, but it looks like you might have to buy from a few different ones unfortunately.

Re: Micro Screws??
Keep your chin up, and don't give up. Be persistent. It might take time, but you'll get there, and the journey will be all the more worth it.
