Re: classics pricing

I find eBay pricing to be a little bit ambitious. Why not check out the sales threads from other members on the boards and average it out. Add or subtract a few bucks as the case may be depending on whether on not you have the packaging, condition, completeness, etc. In most cases, the asking prices here seem to me a little more in check with reality. I hope this helps. Good luck!

Re: classics pricing

Which classics starscream (there were 2). Which skywarp and thundercracker for that matter? Hasbro, or Takara (Henkei)?

Generally the older classics and universe 2.0 figures are more expensive than more recent ones.

I have a bunch of newer figures still on the card for sale in my sales thread (see link in my signature). Loose figures would go for less than still sealed. I based my prices on recent eBay sales (not just listings, but actual completed sales).

Bruticus82 is quite right. The prices will differ depending on which versions you are selling and that "completed" eBay sales would certainly be another resource to help determine price point. Generally speaking, don't go by eBay's listing prices. A lot of sellers are right out to lunch on pricing.

Re: classics pricing

Thanks alot guys on pricing details! i will review and revise all my prices against others as i am a collector not a scalper. I honestly never sell above retail...i mean i just sold the 4 not-menasor parts for 160 lol i just need cash and looking to move items while at the same time maintaining some price integrity. awesome response guys!

Re: classics pricing

No problem. Good call on the price integrity. I rarely sell but like you, when I do I generally just look to recover my initial cost. It's totally not a business for me, plus it's nice to help out fellow collectors.

Re: classics pricing

See what items are *actually* selling for on eBay using the 'sold items' category on a search.

Re: classics pricing

Anybody have an idea what a fair pricing for universe unicron and takara creator primus would be? i was thinking 50 for unicron and 100 for primus. Both loose

Re: classics pricing

I find using the completed listings part of eBay as the best way to gauge what other people have been buying items for.
