Re: WFC Discussion (possible spoilers)

ok... Not reading anything here, waiting till I get it. But I have a question for everyone. Recently EA, Activision, Ubisoft and others have been adding an "online activation" feature to their games. This feature is to help prevent Used Game sales by making the purchaser of the used game pay $10 to activate all online features.

I found this game at a good price Used recently, and was looking to pick it up... but when you all started the game... was there ANY code (besides exclusive characters) you had to enter to be your activation code... Or is there a section in the menues to input an online code or something like that?

no code, and if there was a $10 fee for this online, that would be a fail

Re: WFC Discussion (possible spoilers)

lets start posting tricks people figure out to playing the specific classes better.

im getting REALLY frustrated in the online portion of the game. other then the constant DC's etc.

the only class i am really good at is the scout. im not bad at the soldier, but leader and scientist i die so bloody fast it makes me want to chuck my controller across the room.

when same class i shoot a million times and somehow they dont die i seem to take 1 hit and boom im toast,. at this rate it will be the fall of 2015 that i finally get all my characters to lvl 25 for the stupid prime trophy..

so post helpful class playing tips all. like what skills to take and or how they work to your benefit etc etc.

thanks

The leader is easy you get a nice bonus for ramming kills and killing under the effect of war cry. The maytr ability also help with those close battles you are on the other side of. Over the double xp weekend I took my leader from zero to thirteen in about two hours and I suck at games.

The scientist is hard my only recomendation is to fly high and snipe at guys who are looking the wrong way and hope they die before they see you.

Re: WFC Discussion (possible spoilers)

For scientist, try:

EMP shotgun
Repair ray
Shockwave
Sentry

Play power struggle or conquest. Fly down to the capture point and transform, using shockwave immediately to knock back any enemies. Toss your sentry up and blast the bad guys with your shotgun. When your shotgun is empty, don't stick around and reload if any foes have survived. Just transform and get the heck out of there. You've probably gotten a kill, but even if you didn't, your teammates should be along shortly to mop up and net you some assist points.

In power struggle, if the contest for the energon node is too fast and furious for your fragile scientist, stay outside the boundary, equip the repair ray and fire indiscriminately into the crowd. The repair ray always does the right thing (hurts enemies, heals friends) so it doesn't matter who your hitting with it. Throw some repair grenades into the mix as well. They hurt enemies, too.

You'll still get killed plenty of times, no doubt about it. But that doesn't matter in these game types, only capture points do. You can still be MVP without killing anybody.

If you're looking to take your scientist to FFA or TD, I don't really play those games much , but I'd say keep watch for weak prey. Don't just shoot at any soldier or leader just because they happen to drive by. If you see one in a firefight, attack while he's distracted. Use the method I described above. Don't be afraid to use your abilities because you think you want to save them for a better occassion. That's gonna get you killed.

Soldier Tips from the strategy guide-
The primary offensive weapon for both factions, the Soldier has the most health of all. The Soldier can take a beating and still keep fighting. In robot form, it's size hinders it's movement speed. So, converting to vehicle form can be crucial for traversing areas as quickly as possible--something to consider when you attempt to support your teammates.

Code of Power & Countdown to Extinction
If you're a carrier, these game modes are much harder for the Soldier class. Compared to the other classes, the Soldier has the slowest foot speed. But with the right escorts and support classes, and thanks to high maximum health, the Soldier can last quite some time. Just remember that, while you're carrying, you can use the Flag or Bomb to pack a punch to your opponents.

Conquest & Power Struggle
These game modes are the best fit for the Soldier class. With the ability to enter a zone and clear most of the enemies from it, the Soldier is a crucial class. Hover proves it's worth in these matches. Quickly levitate above the ground and, with boosted damage, rain down terror, fully exploiting the Soldier class' ruthless attacks against your foes.
