Re: Why Did Bumblebee Not End Up in Beast Wars?
Because unlike almost every damn TF media, they interpreted the archetypes in a new way - including Prime and Megatron (BW Megatron couldn't be further from G1 Megs; Primal is not John Wayne) - and added new character types instead of literally rehashing everything? You know, like they've done in every show since with the exception of probably Bulkhead, who now has been rehashed anyways?
Anyway, snark off. It's kind of an interesting question... I think the above poster has a good point: Waspinator. It would be weird and probably confusing to have a good bee, bad wasp. Another reason I figure: Maximals were explicitly mammals. Predacons took insect, arachnid and reptilian forms. Dinobot (and later, Black Arachnia) are the exceptions but both switched sides. If insects are your bad guys, you can't do Bumblebee. Plus... well, is a giant BEE going to go over that well with most kids? Ha.
Cheetor was the young, small, yellow robot who near-idolized their leader. He was a different version of the same idea. No human friend, and actually had some use in battle. Cocky prat. Love. ^^
