My MP Roddy is fine. I just can't quite TF him in the last few steps. But he is perpetually staying as Hot Rod in the box any way (Not that I display my collection. I just don't have the extra space in my apt to display my toys so most are staying MIB until one day I have a home more space)

^Getting him in car mode is annoying. I wish the hands just folded into the arms like practically every other MP.

I dunno, maybe I lucked out with the quality of mine? I can see how it could be easily broken but if you know the problem areas and treat them carefully, it seems okay. But yeah, there are the stories of it being broken right out of the box. I wonder how many people that happened to in truth.

I would be okay with a 2nd version being done as Hot Rod only. Give him a sleeker robot mode with a less kibbly back, and a vehicle mode that scales properly with the rest of the MP cars. I'd also really love for the Daniel figure from MP Magnus to be able to sit in Hot Rod's seats. He can sort of lay under the canopy? Rodimus Prime mode too.

Of course if they did another Hot Rod then people would still miss out on the trailer, and the whole Hot Rod to Rodimus Prime gimmick is pretty fun.

But even if they did a Version 3, further fixed the problem areas and did a full release with trailer Stateside, that would be cool too. I just wouldn't need to buy it.

AmiAmi is using a 16,200 YEN base price with at 30% discount and HLJ is using the actual suggested MSRP of 14,000 YEN as the base with a 20% discount. So HLJ turns out to be 100 YEN cheaper, at least before shipping.
