I managed to get Devastator for $55.XX taxes included!
Not bad... but what Zellers is that? I think I was at Alexis-Nihon just on Monday, and they didn't have any of that on sale... just the usual 20% off all toys.

You're on, but I'm grading mid-terms at the moment. Let me get a sense of how much of my life this is going to suck up, and get back to you.

Its specific Zellers, i dont know what the criterion is, but Centre Laval Zellers has them for 55$. Not many left

zmog

It was advertised in what is now last week's flyer. So it should be in all the stores I would imagine.

Yeah, Alexis Nihon Zellers has stuff marked down with "liquidation" price-tags (but the prices aren't all that fantastic), plus the blanket clearance discount which is now 30% off all toys.

Probably comes to about 40% total, I guess. I think the Devastator set there is $56+tx. Still too steep for me (I'd only be buying it for the 4 Constructicon heads), but I'm going to keep watching those clearance discounts and see how low they go.

There are a few of us, even! I'm just doing my MA thesis now in Film Studies, so I'm grading as a TA... but I'm planning on pursuing teaching, if I can.

What are you doing?

As of now majoring in philosophy, but i dunno.... Finding philosophy a bit of a drag lately. Might be thinking of getting into gaming or film believe it or not lol.

It's not that hard.

Which part are you having problems removing? The tabs? Splitting the crotch piece?

Heh... well, compared to philosophy, you've got nothing to lose!

I can't speak to gaming, but film studies is going through some changes as a discipline lately (also depends on what school you go to, I imagine). What aspects of Philosophy were getting you down?

Due to an early trauma, Nick can't do mods or customizations. His hands start shaking, he gets flashbacks to Cybertron (the toy line, not the place) and his ears are full of the screams of mutilated toys.

I on the other hand, have grown deaf to such screams long ago.

To be honest, when I swapped the parts on my Heavy Labor, I was surprised to find that there were so many steps for what should have been a pretty simple parts swap. Still nothing compared to getting Neckbreaker's chest open though... one of those things that requires you do disassemble every OTHER part of the figure, before you can free up the chest. Groan.

Its not so much philosophy thats the problem. Its that i just want to be a teacher. While i find philosophy very interesting the reading is very complicated. Also my writing isnt up to par and im loosing grades cuz of that, its very fustrating. Ive just been thinking lately do i really want all this stress of reading hard material and writing even harder essays? So im looking for a discipline thats a little less demanding, but also i dont want to restart from scratch.

I remeber studying communications and i absolutely loved my film classes. What are these changes you mentioned?
