when the clerk said "You should get/buy this"
I got offended if the store keeper said it more than once to me. How would you guys response ? any proper and manner way ?
Don't get me wrong on this. If they introduce me the new items or toys that they have the knowledge, it is completely fine. Just this question will turn me off.

similar thing happened to me. this lady at the food court was really pushy on selling her food which I really didn't expect from the food court. not offended but turned off big time.
oh yeah I told her I have to look around first...

I get annoyed every time I'm paying for items at Walmart and they ask me "do you want to apply for a Walmart credit card?", so now when I approach the cashier I say Hi and NO I don't want your credit card thanks!

You can't really be 'offensive' when saying 'no' in a polite manner. Obviously unless you drop some f-bombs inbetween.
I think it's more agitating if they keep pressing you after you've said no, at which point the cussing will ensue... Ha ha.

Clothing stores used to be bad with this a few years ago.
Seems they've changed their strategy for getting people to buy stuff - they leave you alone to make your own decisions.
I hate extended warranties too - the hard sell on the warranties drives me nuts.

I work in sales and in my workplace we are trained to ask for the sale and ask and ask again. Dudes get fired when they get caught not asking, it's supposed to be their job. There is incredible pressure on them to hit sales quotas and targets. Don't get offended. Just say no, you're not interested. If they ask again, just keep saying no.
