Wrong.
The website, through its shipping partner already calculates what duties/customs will be and have that amount added to your order total. When you receive the package, no one will ask you to pay extra for these things. It's already been taken care of. Now, if the actual duty fees come out to be more than what you were charged on the website, that is their loss.
Here's an example..Back when SDCC was happening, I ordered my FoC Bruticus giftset from Hasbro Toy Shop. They also use that system of having you pay the duty fees ahead of time. When FedEx delivered my package, they didn't ask for anything. HOWEVER, a week after, I get a letter from FedEX telling me I owe something like $16 for duty fees. I was like 'fuck no.' So I called HTS and explained myself and I was told that I did not have to pay that fee, that they would contact FedEx and deal with them. The next day I received an email from HTS telling me everything was taken care of and indeed, I never heard back from FedEx.
