Arcade Machines, anyone collect?
My current line up is a Rampage, Red Tent Vs System, X-men 4p, Bosconian.
Currently on the repair or repair to flip list
DKjr Unisystem, Super Monaco GP, WB Mario Bros.
Anyone out there collect are arcade machines, either video games, Pins, or mechanical.
If not collect, whens the last time you remember playing a real arcade game? Ie: not a computer, ps3 or 360.

Not what I was thinking about arcades. However, looking at it. Does it take some type of controller port at the bottom? or are those presure buttons on the left and right side of the molded Coleco?

Re: Arcade Machines, anyone collect?
My last time was when I was 16. My mom had bought my sister and I space invaders for Christmas....I mean the arcade machine. We had it for awhile til mom said it was too loud. Later on I got another arcade machine (can't remember the name). Had it for awhile as well.

Re: Arcade Machines, anyone collect?
I dream of getting some arcade machines. Maybe two to be realistic. I think these would be awesome to own: Tron, Star Wars, Punch Out, Strider, Double Dragon, and one of the Street Fighter.
The last arcade games I played were Final Fight and Killer Instinct when I was at Marineland two years ago.

Re: Arcade Machines, anyone collect?
A relative of mine had the Space Invaders arcade machine... When they moved, the machine was moved to my parents' house and is still there. We haven't turned it on in years... It is rather loud (as Sarmick01 noted)

I'm actually very happy with mame already, with a joystick I don't see a reason to own a big machine.

I came really close to buying NBA JAM last year, but I think my girlfriend would have killed me.
I would still love a SFII cabinet at some point. There's an arcade here in Vancouver I go to every few months or so.

The easiest way I can explain:
Its not just about the game, its about the atmosphere the original cabinet. That would be like I want a 69 ford mustang and droping the engine into a focus. It take a lot of work to fine tune it. However, The essence is not there. None of the soul or the personality.
Or you can look at for one of those people that has faith. You either have it or you don't. Those that don't. Will not understand. Being an atheist, me thinking its brainwashing. But i'll stop before this thread gets deleted.
