My Local TRU store called about my cancelled Rodimus pre-order, saying it will be in soon, and I'll get another call to come pick it up. Need to bring a print out of my original order to have the price honored.

Just got the call that my Rodimus is in store ready for pickup woo hoo Woodbridge Toysrus.

Got the call for MPM-12 Optimus Prime. The store automatically honoured the discount code from the preorder, but check to see if the scanned price matches the preorder pricing.

For MPM-12, the preorder was for $169.99, but the item rang up at $179.99 in store. They applied the discount to this new price, so make sure you bring a paper copy of your order and ask them to match the preorder terms exactly.

They suggested the difference was due to shipping, but at this price, shipping was free. In the end, they were able to fix the issue, but check your order's pricing, folks!

Got a call as well. I asked if I would get the price on my order and got a hesitant "yes". I then ask if the item could be shipped for free as it would have been on the website since I am an hour away from the nearest TRU and gas+time would cancel any savings on the figure. Guy on the phone couldn't tell me saying he needs to check with his manager tomorrow, but I do need to confirm right now if I keep the order. Otherwise, I lose the rebate. So I dropped the order. Fuck it.

I'm sure I'll catch it in a year or so on the shelves at Winners for $50..

I picked up in Metrotown, they automatically applied $25 off at the original price with mine so didn't need to provide proof. Now waiting on Rodimus and G2 ramjet.

Edit: my receipt says $179 - $35, so they factored in the price increase.
