Best case scenario for 1 hasbro combiner is having a raincheck for when tru had the %25 off sale in late jan/early feb for superion and hoping wave 2 has same sku. So the price with taxes is $95.56 + shipping for quickslinger or brake neck.

Yeah of course if you happen to get them during a sale that's great...but as an example from my own experience, I wasn't able to get any of the CW Wave 1 during TRU's sale when they came out - ended up getting them at regular price mostly. So you take a chance waiting for a sale or stock. While you end up paying a little more for the TakaraTomy ones, for me it's worth it not to have hunt for them, and they tend to have the better decos/paint apps. Of course, to each their own

But my point was that getting the TT version isn't as expensive as it might seem if you get them at the preorder discount, is all.

Hmm. I'm still seriously debating getting Menasor, mainly because my Decepticon shelf is looking really empty compared to the Autobots. But I decided a long time ago my main combiner teams would be Superion for the Autobots and Bruticus for the Decepticons. At first I didn't like them at all but I have to admit the individual bots are pretty cool, and with the alternate transformations and possible add-ons, the combined mode looks pretty decent too. I dunno what to do!

Looks like I caused more discussion problems for you, sorry, so I'll step up to bat for you.


So yes this is a great deal if you get off with no duty, which there is a very good posibility.

For example (all retail)

I paid 100 for Bruticus ( 5 deluxes, Hasbro ) + gas hunting it down , 120 for Ruination. HASBRO

and I paid 150 for Takara Bruticus.


So 100 % this is a good deal and now the base figure is a voyager so it's a even better deal. If I didn't have the 3p already I jump on this

Menasors indivdual bots are great, I'm even thinking of getting MM and the rest of the stunticons, but I don't think he scales with my mp's.

I would get Sup, Men and Defsor myself (Superion looks the best imo ) but I'm already deep int the 3P's I just need a good 3P bruticus now.

I'm hoping Hasbro does Bruticus but I'm not sure if it will top the Fansproject kits. I'd still get it anyway. I was gonna skip Defensor too but they all look really good. I'd feel bad skipping on the majority of the best line in ages too.

My Con shelf really needs some new members. The Autobots are literally starting to look like that MTMTE Sergeant Pepper homage cover.

But the whole reason I decided on Superion & Bruticus in the first place was to limit my spending... of course I had to get Devastator too because he's the classic original combiner. And then Predaking because he's so cool. See my dilemma?!

Well thats the real problem isn't it. Not knowing what you will be able to find in stores, so you almost panic and end up buying it cause your worried you won't find it . Instead of been able to wait and go I think I like, yes I will get it and it's in the store.

Yes, that is a definite issue. But I think Wave 1 has become fairly common, hasn't it?
