The Ontario sightings are reporting the prices at $19.99 for both the RID warrior class/CW deluxe class (TRU's "regular" price on CW deluxe is $16.99), $34.99 for CW voyagers and $14.99 for CW legends class.

Apparently in the states, prices have gone up for figures. Deluxes were close to our retail price at TRU/Walmart. Voyagers were at $28. So its possible Walmart and TRU might follow suit.

Makes sense. Add to that our falling loonie and the retail prices here aren't looking very good. I'm starting to turn to places like HLJ and Amiami and ordering the TakaraTomy versions of stuff. Between their preorder discounts and a much more reasonable exchange rate between the Yen and CDN$ (I think it's about 1$ = 91Y), it doesn't cost much more to get the TakaraTomy stuff than the new Hasbro items.

Re: BC Community Thread For Non-Sightings Chat
Same here, a lot more Takara products these days. With the crappy exchange rate and rising prices, BBTS isn't worth it anymore unless I'm ordering a difficult-to-obtain item, like Arcee.

Plus Takara's figures usually feel like their giving more bang for the buck, with their extra paint apps, and more accurate decos, at times.

So are you bummed or happy that Automaton Toys is switching to US Dollars as their currency of choice?

Re: BC Community Thread For Non-Sightings Chat
Seems like a poor decision for Canadians, but I haven't ordered from them before anyway so it doesn't really affect me.

The only thing I'm bummed about is my preorder that I didn't pay for when the dollar was even, now I'm out 15%

Yes with the dollar dropping to .80 and the cheap pre-orders that come up, I might have to break my local supplier rule, and start buying direct from HLJ and Amiami

Re: BC Community Thread For Non-Sightings Chat
Anybody have experience with TF-Direct? I inquired about their shipping costs for an MP Rodimus trailer and they never responded. It's listed at $44.99 on their site, but shipping is $30. Anyone getting rid of a trailer for less than $75?
