Got my BW Retro Scorponok figures today; the shipping to my house was surprisingly quick.

Yeah all of them are shelfwarming hard at mine too. I wish the headmasters would have been that easy to find last year?

The problem is the pool of who are the BW reissues for is very narrow. The timing is also not great. Yeah, they want to capitalize on the nostalgia factor when BW is at it?s most relevant again, and I love BW, but they do not have the nostalgia power of G1. No kid would ever ask for a classic t-rex Megatron, when the much better Kingdom one is readily available. They are not bad toys, but at 70$, it?s too expensive for what it is. That leaves the hardcore BW fans. I guess most of them still have a classic one, some probably picked up new one to display, but they don?t seem to sell very well.

Wal-Marts near me, in QC, have very little, to none of the Ultra class reissue. Maybe Alberta got too many or QC got too few.

I picked Megatron and Optimus Primal and really like them. I started collecting last year so I never experienced those vintage toys and I was delighted to be able to buy them new without the aftermarket price tag.

Kingdom Megatron has a much better robot mode, but in T-Rex mode, I think I like the vintage one better. I just hate those rubbery pieces around Kingdom Megs' neck.

I was considering maybe grabbing one since the bot deco is slightly more show, but f*ck that price right out the window

Re: Walmart.ca Transformers Sightings and discussion

They're all CMDStore listings (notably more expensive than MSRP!!!), but just noticed they got the 1st wave Legacy core classes up on walmart.ca

Figure could be worth it for anyone who's DYING to be first?

core Skywarp $19.54

core HotRod $19.54

They're on CMD's website for less but their shipping can be pricey if you're not close to Montreal.
