TFcon over the long weekend
I'm surprised I didn't see any posts about this but I thought having TFcon over the civic long weekend was a FANTASTIC idea. I would love for this weekend to always be reserved for TFcon every year and here are the reasons why:
1) we will always know what the dates are for next year's TFcon so we can plan (ie request vacation time) and save well in advance
2) it gives people the extra day to travel home as opposed to rushing out early or right after the convention
3) it gives us a full day to enjoy our new purchases before heading back to the daily grind of a work week
Anyone else agree with me?

Re: TFcon over the long weekend
I would personally love this. The extra "holiday" day doesn't affect me one way or another, but having a set time every year for the convention would increase my chances of going each year. The more time to plan, then better.

Re: TFcon over the long weekend
We don't get that holiday here in Quebec, so it really doesn't change anything for me personally; but I'm all for it if it'll help out the other attendees.

Re: TFcon over the long weekend
If it's the same time as this year I may not be able to make it as my GF's parents will be celebrating their 25th anniversary in New Brunswick

Re: TFcon over the long weekend
I like it being over the long weekend, as others have said it gives you that extra day to enjoy, especially important for those travelling long distances.

Re: TFcon over the long weekend
Well I thinks it is a great idea to have extended days but how many people went to their cottages and just wanted to leave the city for a get-a-way. I am not sure of the comparison but it would be interesting to know. I really liked the Sunday social aspect of TFCon this year. What is better for overall volume of people?
