Had MP Reboost go out of stock in my cart but grabbed the edgy boy Blurr and a second Tricranius (plus a couple Marvel Legends to spread that shipping cost out.)

hmmm.. picked three figures and between the shipping, the saving weren't that impressive really...

87 US$ = 109 CAD$

For 2 Voyager /1 deluxe, that's like 40$/40$/30$

That's barely last year's prices without the taxes...

You'd think that 40% would fell like a lot more.

That's because shipping is the same regardless of how much you buy. At a certain treshold, this becomes the deal of the decade. Here is how much it came out for me:

Deluxes are $13 USD, so 17 CAD instead of 35 CAD if bought locally
Voyagers (and that exclusive fossilizer triceratops) is only $20 USD, so 25 CAD instead of 48 CAD if bought locally
And the Jurassic park set is only $63 USD so 80 CAD instead of 138 CAD if bought locally

I bought 3 voyager priced figures, 5 deluxes and the Jurassic Park set for a total of 323 CAD shipping and taxes included.

If bought locally, that would have been 525 CAD taxes included.

So I just saved $200 CAD, so 40% off the local prices.

Plus I now have a Pulse exclusive that was never available here.

You'd pay taxes at TRU anyway (making all those figures you mentioned even pricier), so the tax part cancels out. And better yet, the fact that the total is lower means your taxes are lower too compared to what you would have spent locally. And there is no customs fee since your taxes are already paid for. So all that's left as extra that you wouldn't pay here is the shipping.
