Yes, agreed. Really well done, but the size of the figure and that box with the retail price really makes you think twice before walking over to the cashier.

Draculus is sold out on HasbroPulse, wow.

I dunno man, we're at the point where I saw a dude moving a copy with a busted-ass box at a con recently, for the original $230 retail

And I was honestly thinking "if I hadn't already spent all my money, that'd be mine"

What I'm trying to say is, ain't many (any?) options left that aren't aftermarket mark-up

With all the supply chain issues, Star Saber is very good value for the price. By the time it gets released, who knows, maybe inflation would have pushed retail prices of Leader Class figures from the current $73 all the way to $93.
Is it such a great value though? I don't regret my backing the project or anything but all told, converted to CAD currency, it's $300 for me. Even if I inflate the prices of those since they seem to have more engineering and deco, it doesn't equate $300 in my mind.

pretty sure second release happened already but it was more of a fan channel thing (small online retailers). For sure you wont see Earthrise toy restock on store shelves this year or when they roll out Legacy in 2022.

Yeah it is hard to say for sure.

My local guy says he still has Scorponok on order from his distributor, and it isn't cancelled. However others already have received their stock and sold out.

On the flip side, Walmart just recently relisted Sky-Lynx (currently on the website), and Winners got some stock as well. So with all the craziness around shipping there is a chance a bunch more stock shows up for Scorponok, but with something that big it might be doubtful.

He's priced properly there, unlike in Canada.

And yes, you do think twice when seeing that Bumblebee. But you still take it to the cash and pay eventually

As a backer I can say that I don't see it being great value. While this may be unfair, here is how I have chosen to see this:

Victory Leo (with that big gun) looks like something I would pay leader prices for at retail.
Star Saber looks like something I would pay commander prices for at retail (I can see a comparison to Rodimus Prime, for instance in terms of what's involved in it)
Then you have a custom limited stand and a micromaster set both of which we can price even more easily than the rest.

With all that added together, I still feel I am overpaying about $30-40.

But I then chomp that off to saying that I am getting a limited item and as with other limited items, there is a price to offset the limited factor. So I am comfortable with what I paid. Granted I don't care to pay more to have something limited, but in the end that was the price Hasbro was comfortable selling this toy to us and I was comfortable paying for it.

But yeah, I would never call it great value. You are paying for exactly what you are getting.

Re: Hasbro Pulse Transformers Sightings

It'll probably still inflate in value on the aftermarket once it releases but it won't be going anywhere near the ~300% MSRP that Unicron is demanding. Limit 5 per order will see to that.
