Thanks. I won't hold my breath for a fair race. With the corrupt Indy you never know what pathetic fiasco they'll do next.

Re: Canadian F1 Grand Prix

When I casually scanned the title of this thread my mind picked up the title Canadian G1 Grand Prix and for some reason I expected to hear that the there was a program on TV with the original Autobot race cars in it. I'd be surprised to see that.

Re: Canadian F1 Grand Prix

Lewis Hamilton wins again from pole for the second race in a row...

Fanfreakin'tastic.

None of the Ferraris in the GT1 or GT2 classes at LeMans fared too well, either...

What a depressing weekend.

Yah, that guy is awesome!

And what in Sam Hill was up with Kimi NOT passing Massa? He was clearly faster than him, it's downright shameful if Ferrari forbid it this early in the season.

Hehe, that would be inCROYable!

It does remind me of the big Trans-Europa charity race the Autobots entered, against the arrogant Auggie Kahnay.

There were several Ferrari Testarossa's, Porsche 911's, and a pair of Lamborghini Countach's cruising around downtown Montreal over the race weekend. Who knows, maybe one of them could have been an Autobot...

Ferrari didn't forbid anything. Kimi just couldn't pull it off, plain and simple. Forza Felipe.

Things may never have worked out well for fans in the Grandstands at the 2005 US GP, but the bottom line is Michelin was putting safety first. You simply can't take the risk of racing a car or cars at F1 speeds when there's a problem or concern regarding tires that hasn't been thoroughly analysed/solved. Not only does it potentially put the drivers at risk, but fans and other track personnel, as well. As such, I can't fully agree with it being a 'pathetic fiasco' as you put it.

No, I'm not saying safety 1st is a fiasco; Michelin was correct in that. The Indy organization and the FIA failed to adapt an alternative; heck, they didn't even try.
They were satisfied having fans get totally shafted as only 6 cars participated.

Indy has been full of fiascos. Letting Ralf Shcumacher sit (and potentially die) in his crashed car for 5 minutes while they didn't send the ambulance to him.

Not to mention the unjust officiating they've pulled with CART drivers and Mika Hakkinnen when they docked his pole for a practice infringement from teh day before, when a fine woulda worked.

Tony George's middle name is fiasco.

I do not like the fool.
