Re: Beast Wars-How has it aged?
Beast Machine's story was horrible and the plot was retarded too, it was sorta okay but I don't know if I would watch it again. I seriously watched it from start to finish 1-2 years ago for the first time.

Re: Beast Wars-How has it aged?
It's basically timeless. An incredible series to this day.

The show and the toys (that I don't like much though) could be released tomorrow that they wouldn't look dated.

I noticed that most Mainframe Entertainment (Nor Rainmaker Animation) shows in those days (90's) start off with mediocre CG, but after a few seasons, become ridiculous fluid/rich in colour. Such as Beast Wars/Reboot.

I believe they were one of the first 3d animation studios to build their own motion capture studio. They were one of my favorite studios growing up, it's a shame they are no longer Canadian and don't do much anymore.

Re: Beast Wars-How has it aged?
Beast Wars has aged very well, and now that I am a bit older I can pick up on some of the humour and references I missed the first time around.
In the future, if I have kids, I fully intend to show them the glory that is Beast wars.

Plus, Tarantulas, who I only got recently, is such a joy of a toy.
I know you're talking about the show, but many of the toys were great, too.

on that note; didn't they re-release a few molds from the line as part of the 10th anniversary? And if I recall they sold quite well.

Re: Beast Wars-How has it aged?
My brother who is not a transformers fan agreed that Code of Hero and Transmutate were fantastic episodes for a cartoon.

Re: Beast Wars-How has it aged?
It aged well. The toys and the shows are just as cool as I thought they were when they were being released. The animation of the first season and a bit is a tad weak I guess - but season 3 and Machines still hold up quite well today I think.
The same can be said of the toys. The first few waves were and are a bit weak, but the later stuff still holds well for sure.
I am not sure if BW/M can ever be topped by any other tv/toy generation of Transformers. That's how good its held up.

Re: Beast Wars-How has it aged?
I saw Beast Wars before and I'm watching the whole thing again right now. I love it, and I don't care if today's CGI is better; it is my favourite Transformers television series. I hope Transformers: Prime will be just as enjoyable.
