What's the deal with Computron?
So my friend wants Computron and right now he's got Voyager Scattorshot from the last TRU sale. I see listings for the full Computron as a box set, but I've not heard any news about the Computron limbs being released individually. And now Titan Wars are hitting the pegs.
Did they really release Scattorshot as an individually packaged toy on his own?
Is the box set the only way to get a full Computron?
...Cause I might end up with a Scattorshot if this is the case, someone's gonna have to adopt the poor guy.

Re: What's the deal with Computron?
That CW Scattershot is designed to combine with the Autobot limbs from Wave#4 - Ironhide, Mirage, Prowl + Sunstreaker to form Betatron. You have to buy the CW Computron set to get all the Technobot limbs.
Hasblow's redeco machine strikes again.

Re: What's the deal with Computron?
It's just a box set release, that was announced quite a while back when they first showed computron full combined mode.

Re: What's the deal with Computron?
This box set is the only way to get Computron, as those unique limbs are not available individually.
Scattershot was a single release, so you can make your own BetaTron or use all red limbs to make a red combiner.

Re: What's the deal with Computron?
And nobody has mentioned the very different molds involved in the takara release. Repaints of different limb-bots, no extra yellow cosmos, and a chest and head that actually look like computron instead of repainted superion.
The individual Scattershot goes together with ironhide, mirage, prowl and sunstreaker about the same way Skylinx goes together with Hound, trailbreaker, smokescreen and wheeljack.
Personally, I have Skylinx swapping with the aerialbots as limbs with silverbolt.
I'd suggest buying some cheap limbs and repainting/molding them yourself. If you're into that kind of thing.

Re: What's the deal with Computron?
Computron was a last minute addition. Before the complaining about the lack of Computron, Scattorshot was going to be it.

Re: What's the deal with Computron?
I, for one, shall repaint the stand-alone Scattorshot into someone else.
Odds are, the very creative 3rd party companies will make some CW limbs that'll suit him perfectly, as well as ones for Cyclonus and Skylynx.
I'm alright with the Hasbro Technobots to have repaints, won't shell out a huge amount for the Takara release. Plus, I already compromised with Hasbro Blastoff (which makes a little bit more sense with the group).

When I read the title of this thread, I heard it in Jerry Seinfeld's voice.
