Re: Has Legacy Breakdown Come and Gone?

I got my breakdown from a3u on January 4. Good luck on finding one now, almost April now.

Have I missed the boat on completing Menasor or is there hope I might be able to grab him online or in stores without resorting to aftermarket scalpers?
Canadian distribution is wack, it really is. I would say no, he has not come and gone since both Toysrus and Walmart, Canada's biggest toy sellers, have not sold him yet. So there are boxes with this figure in them out there for canadians, that is 100% certain.

BUT

Unlike other yearly lines, the SKU number did not reset for Legacy Evolution. They are under the same wave assortment as the infamous wave 1 from 2022 which stayed on shelves for a year. That's why sites like TFW2005 call that Legacy wave 4 instead of evolution wave 1. So that means that it has a chance of being skipped just like any other later wave. The toys will still be out there, but they'll be passed on to a liquidator, or be part of some warehouse sale, and neither of those scenarios will necessarily happen in Canada.

So it's basically the same odds of getting this toy as any other whose wave you didn't see in stores at the correct time (like deluxe Dead End, Voyager Junkheap or Core class Bomburst).

Boom Liquidations will maybe come to the rescue sometimes next year.

Re: Has Legacy Breakdown Come and Gone?

Got mine as a gamestop preorder, usually weeks or even months before I see them on Walmart shelves, if at all.

Re: Has Legacy Breakdown Come and Gone?

Since right before the apocalypse, I've stopped counting on figures to show up in retail anymore. I just pre-order from one of our site sponsors. Prices are more or less the same. A3U even has a loyalty point program. I saved up my points and was able to reduce the price of my preorder for Snarl to $2.23. They're not the quickest, but I've always gotten my stuff.

If there is any hope, it’s Walmart. They never got that wave so there is a chance they still may.

Re: Has Legacy Breakdown Come and Gone?

Thanks everyone! I really appreciate the feedback, although it's disappointing and depressing. I missed the original Breakdown pre-order because I was busy the week it was announced, and by the time I got to it, they were all sold out, and I guess I missed when it was on Amazon.

I've put in a pre-order with Entertainment Earth, but I'm not optimistic that it will be fulfilled.

Really getting in the mindset that collecting Transformers isn't worth it anymore. If you can even pre-order before the figure sells out at the inflated costs these toys go for these days, there's still a good chance it's going to break within a few months, start to discolor, or who knows what. My confidence in this brand is waning.
