Re: Canadian Slag Episode 38 - Let the Battle be Joined

I totally forgot to say that I enjoyed all the Shadow Raiders love in this podcast. That was such a great show too.

So what are the chances that BW may get another dvd release? I remember Shout! Factory saying several times that they aren't doing BW. I've also not had much luck at all in finding the previous BW dvds at reasonable prices.

So because of better technology across a decade Transfromers Animated must be a better show than Beast Wars right?

Or Star Wars Episode 1 must be better than Star Wars Episode 4?

The examples could be endless.

Not at all considering I don't agree with either assessment.

You're telling me you don't see a higher production value and graphical improvements between SW4 and SW1?

Now now...

Lets not get into a pissing match and agree to disagree being from two different points of view.

I think we can all at least agree (from finally reading the posts in this thread) that Beast Wars all seems to have a special place in our hearts, each with our own favourite episodes and characters that really make the show stand out for us.

So please let the appreciation continue!

As for the spring changing Transformers Ultra Primal, I will agree with you on how they are fun little quick action battlers (FAST action battlers?! Someone may get confused with that name!) which is why I grew to appreciate them in time...they're different, they weren't puzzles like you suggest to memorize but they were fun in their own right. Just took me 14 or so years to realize it :P

I haven't declared anything to be a universal truth because only Sith deal in absolutes.

Re: Canadian Slag Episode 38 - Let the Battle be Joined

now "that" was alot of beastwars info!
i don't know how nocturn does it

i can honestly say i too love almost everything that was produced by mainframe, from beastwars, beasties(apparently "war" is not allowed),beastmachines, shadowraiders, and reboot.
if i'm not mistaken, they also did another series that was mostly about hotrodding, even had a little baby thug ripping around in a suped up baby carriage.i just hated porscha's voice though

Your talking about Weirdos, it was Mainframe's shot at the typical WB Bugs Bunny show, but CG.
