Sick Kids - Minerva

Hey guys. This here is a secret custom, only a couple of us knew, who were directly involved. When we were working out which TFs to do customs of, I felt the Rescue set needed a 5th member, and I really wanted to do a custom, instead of just making heads only for this project. So after talking with CJ69, he agreed to letting me do a custom TFA style Minerva. Only problem then, was that we had no idea when TFA Arcee would show up at TRU here. So SamiWCP helped us out, and found an Arcee for the project. And then AutobotX23 made the decals for her. And I think Josh was suppose to draw her.

Anyways, I had to rush Minerva in the end, with my tight schedule. The final head didn't arrive until two days before I had to ship her to CJ. I was suppose to have it 3 weeks earlier, but Shapeways had a huge delay. Overall, even with some of the paint chips, and masking issues, I think she turned out pretty good. This is my first custom in 5 years. And my 3rd one, overall. Everything was airbrushed, except for the red, black, and eyes on the head. The new spoiler and light is custom made for this project. They were suppose to go on the top of the altmode, shown in some WIP photos below. So that way, they'd end up on her forearms, in robot mode, and could be used as weapons. But they were too big for the top of the for the original spot. So I moved them to where Arcee's original wings went.

Anyways, photos below. No altmode photos because I was scared of further ruining her paint job, and I had only 10 minutes before having to ship her out, haha.

Re: Sick Kids - Minerva

Great stuff. Have I mentioned I'm still sad about TFA being cancelled?

Very cool! I like how crisp and vibrant the colours look on her.

Very nice, I love that head sculpt!

Now, what exactly did you guys end up doing with this? Did you auction it off at TFCon, or did you just show it off to drum up interest and then putting it on Ebay later?

Re: Sick Kids - Minerva

Hey guys, thanks for all your comments so far. I was stressed out some of the paint issues would of ruined her. But it seems most of you aren't worried about it.

I didn't goto TFCon, but it seemed the idea was to show the figures off, and do a silent auction at the convention. We'll have to wait and see what happened, when one of the guys that did go, report back.
