I've been seeing this for a while in the video game section for pops. They are extending it to other figures in that area. Transformers toys in the boys toys aisle are not beholden to this.

I saw it for funkos a few months ago. Apparently people would be ordering multiple copies online to get the chase item then return the rest.

In that case, they should simply not allow returns for online funko orders. I thought it was because people were swapping out special editions with regular editions.

The fine print on that screen shot says includes GIJoe, NECA, Marvel Legends, Transformers, Star Wars, lol

There are several forwarding services available. I don't use any, but if you look up that kind of service on Google, you'll find it.
