Grimwing Shoulder Armour

I got my Beast Hunters Grimwing in the mail a couple days ago and was curious. The green part of his shoulder guard actually detaches and the revealed peg fits into the standard hole size. Does anybody know if there is an intended purpose for this?

Re: Grimwing Shoulder Armour

Does the instructions say anything?

Sometimes that's just the way the engineering goes down for safety reasons or breakable issues if the piece WAS crazy glued or perma-pegged.

Nope, instructions don't mention anything. It could be an engineering design but it just seems perfect for some kind of gimmick.

Just to note, both pieces come out with no visible evidence of adhesive meant to seal it in.

Re: Grimwing Shoulder Armour

There are several things about Grimwing that feels like they engineered him and changed it last minute...why not those parts?

I thought it might have been made that way with the purpose of making a remold easier, since you could change the shape of the shoulder easily just by swapping out a different part.

You can use them as throwing weapons like over here:

Re: Grimwing Shoulder Armour

I was kind of expecting Hasbro to put one out sometime since Grimwing seems very similar in mind as BW Silverbolt was.
The figure does work well with those colours too, even the face works.

For those with problems locking his chest =P

Just swap those Green bits on his chest and lock them in:
