Yes, yes, yes. When you are in doubt, and have the means, get them just in case. You can always flip them later if you change your mind.

That and they look to be great figures in their own rights (I'm still waiting for mine to arrive [hopefully] next week).

True enough. Are there stores that still stock the set or are they scarce already?

Re: Just In Case?

I would say yes for sure.
Resale value on these things is usually at least at cost but usually more.
For example, if you wanted to buy the superion add on kit now, I'm sure There is a hell of a markup.
Plus, though I'm sure the combined mode is amazing, there are awesome figures in their own right.

Re: Just In Case?

On a side note, do you guys think that they would go well with the Energon version of Bruticus? I mean, Barricade is coloured a lot like G1 Barricade, and the dark green tank makes a nice Brawl. The orange helicopter and the light green tank could be displayed as the Energon characters they were meant to be. For me, the purple helicopter is good enough, and if it's not good in person, then buy a cheap grey helicopter on ebay or at a convention loose.

I believe BBTS and TFSource still have some sets in stock.

I've seen some pics posted on TFW with the Energon figures and I think they look good other than the purple helicopter. I think Vortex from the ROTF set looks way better.

This set is so awesome you don't need a reason NOT to buy it.

Just buy it! =)

You might also be able to find a board member that's willing to part with the extra arm and leg.
