I can get TFC hercules for 2400 yuan on taobao right now, thats about 360 CND, Taobao price varies. The initial release price is almost the same as North American online stores, but after few month, price drastically changes due to overstocking etc.

ya but online stores on this side of the world, or a certain bst post here on cybertron.ca , are still charging full price at pretty much 100 bucks a piece on average, and didnt drop like taobao did

china has a much bigger market than Canada. there are probably more toys stores (they also have websites) within 5km radius of my place in China than total amount of toy shops in Canada.

when hercules first came out in China, they are about 15-20 dollar cheaper than online stores in Canada (minus the international shipping)

Toy market fluctuate alot over there. same item can go from 200 yuan up to 800-1200 within a year.

UpgradeCommander is Maketoys' main seller, and they always have the first official preorder for Maketoys items, with their preorder and pricing based on actual information straight from Maketoy's them selves. Any other retailer can put up a preorder before hand and just make stuff up, as long as they think they won't be selling at a loss.

Maketoy's rep at the CherryBomb Toy show told us all that Green Giant would be released in a gift set after the yellow version was released. Also, they were planning for the yellow version to come with something that the green version would not.

I have opted for the MakeToys Giant edition. The yellow are a limited edition run and won't be revisited I heard. I like the look of the Alt modes for Giant better than Hercules. They look more realistic to me. Either way. Two fantastic 3rd party releases. I hope this trend continues and we see some awesome Combaticons or Stunticons.
