The little Core guys are shockingly fun. Can't wait for Megs and Starscream in wave 2.
I just picked up a Runabout. After getting into it with TRU customer service over my local store staff screwing me over on lazy stock-checking practices (ie they tell me they don't have any when they actually did and they were on shelves less than an hour after I checked) on what turned out to be the last and possibly
only stock in my area before Runabout and Thrust were discontinued, an online customer service rep found me one in Barrie, ON and had it shipped out here to the local store in BC. Took 2 days. And this is after my store made a big fuss about not even letting me suggest the possibility of store transfers during COVID.
So big props to Kristen from TRU customer service, who was absolutely awesome and by far the best TRU person I've dealt with in months.
now I'm waiting to see if my Walmart app order of Retro HM Chromedome processes and I can tick that box off my wants list. If it does that's two high-frustration figures crossed off in two days.
Runabout is a ton of fun though. A bit snug and fidgety to get all the panels lined up in car mode, but now I just need to figure out what I did with my G1 Runabout. Slowly but surely my collection of new versions of bots I had as a kid are coming together. Maybe if I'm patient they'll eventually start re-doing G2 bots like Dreadwing and Decepticon Smokescreen (or, if you prefer Beast Wars II, Starscream & BB) or Stalker.
