Been preordering instore at gamestop since Earthrise. Twice they lost my preorder (one time they called me and told me it was in but was gone when i arrived). Each of those times though they were able to replace what was lost in a few days. Since they were so good at dealing with the issues i sent an email to the regional manager complimenting the staff. That made it to the staff and now they treat me like gold. Generally now when a transformer comes that i dont have preordered they call to see if i want one. I cant say enough good things about my gamestop but part of that is cultivating a relationship with the people that work there. The key is.. and i find this at most places.. if someone screws up and you keep your cool, the staff is much more receptive to you than shouting you are mad.

For sure. My Gamestop store tracked down a missing preorder and had it shipped over from another store without me even having to ask. Find the most competent person working there, and make them your best friend.

The manager at Lougheed GS in Burnaby is awesome.

She calls me whenever there is a new pre-order and I have never not gotten something I ordered for in store pick up.

She calls to let me know every time.

There's been a lot of turnover at the gamestop near me. I rarely ever get calls on my pre-orders. I switched back to shipped pre-orders, the warehouse usually sends those out before stores receive theirs.
