Re: Oh Captain my Captain!
Captain America being my 2nd Marvel hero, this makes me extremely happy. Specially that they went with the Ultimates World War 2 Captain America design for the 40s part of the movie. Easily the my favorite Captain America design of my 20+ years of worshiping him.
"WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR LADIES? CHRISMAS!?" The crowning debut in The Ultimates #1 (Easily one of the best books ever made)

Re: Oh Captain my Captain!
I wanna see Hugo Weaving with the Red Skull make up on! That would be fucking sick to hear that voice come out of that face.
I would do a Matrix joke, but that would require having the Red Skull refer to Captain America as "Mr. Rogers", and that just sounds wrong.
I can't wait for the toyline. I missed out on the Capt America and Red Skull figures in the Marvel Universe line. This should give me a second chance at them.

Nah, I'll just do what I do for Lord of the Rings and say "Mr. Anderson" everytime he speaks... still works just fine. It works, not quite as well but still, for Megatron in the movies too...

Re: Oh Captain my Captain!
Hey, anyone else think Wolverine might make a cameo in this movie? I seem to remember him and Cap going on a couple missions in WW2. I can see them having, after the credits, Captain America going to knock on Wolverine's door(X Mansion/log cabin in Canada/whatever), he answers the door with a cigar in his mouth. Seeing who it is, is shocked, jaw drops, cigar falls out( pause for laughter). "Hey, Jim." "Hey, Steve." "I got a job for you...". "It'll be just like old times". etc. Sets up Wolverine in the Avengers movie.

You know - I could see this, and it would be awesome if done right.

Re: Oh Captain my Captain!
No cameos, I'm afraid. Different production studios, and they usually don't like to share. If memory serves, they had thought about doing a Spider-Man cameo in the Daredevil movie, but Sony and Fox wouldn't play ball with each other. ...Besides that, I'm kind of miffed at them Americanizing Wolverine's WW2 experience.
The cameos we've seen so far have all been from Marvel properties in the same production house. ...That's one good thing (the only one, so far...) about the Disney buy out - even though Marvel was already trying to bring all their properties back under one roof, Disney has the money to actually make it happen... Except that Fox and Sony have so far refused to let go of their film rights. Paramount, on the other hand, has agreed.l
