Chrome is my enemy!

Agh! Forgive me, but I need to vent. Humor me.

Why does chrome vex me so?!

I've had Henkei Megatron in my possession for under a week, transformed him, officially, twice, and I notice this very moment that the purple chrome on his gun is just falling of with the merest touch! Literally, I passed a finger over it, and poof, less purple than before.

Is this the paint? The plastic? My own acid fingers?

Chrome. It must be stopped, no matter the cost.

[Or plastic that doesn't hold paint. That chafes me as well.]

I've just tried scratching that part on my Henkei Megatron, it does come off relatively easily.

Call me a retard, but I actually never noticed that decepticon insignia on Henkei Megatron :x Just tried rubbing it, but I didn't really see a difference (and I have, at the moment, dirty hands, as I'm currently employed at a workshop, lots of dust, oil, and metal). Maybe it's different with each figure? :/

Had the same problem with a sonic convoys red plating annoying considering the cost.strike one takara

I would say the plastic wasn't prepared for paint properly. The same will happen if you apply paint onto a car improperly. I've seen a purple car turn silver because the paint just falls off.
