I am lucky that I live in Markham. It is only shower where I live, not pounding rain plus no power outage or flooding.

Re: The Great Toronto Flood of 2013
I feel for all the people that were stuck downtown last night trying to get home to their families...My dad could have been easily on that Go Train that was stuck for hours. I have to admit that I thanked the good guy above every night for being fortunate enough to not have to fight traffic and to have a car. I was very fortunate to pick up the my daughters and be home just before the pooring rain...hope that everyone is ok...(hope no tfs were damaged by mother nature)

^ not bad odds, but you forgot to add "blackout".
Wow, I thought this thread was going to have lots of stories from the various members in the GTA. Pretty disappointing....unless we have a few members in the rolling blackout areas...
Well, I'll just move this thread along with some pictures not taken by me.

I live like half an hour north of toronto and we had power, but our street was flooding, it was 2-3 feet deep water.

Re: The Great Toronto Flood of 2013
My place flooded, 1/2 an inch to 3/4 inch standing water in most of it.
Thankfully I had a wet/dry vac available and got it all suctioned up before major damage had time to occur.
All said and done only out around $1000.
Fooking shitty drainage system.
