The Quintessons played a large enough role in the animated movie/cartoon for me to justify a purchase. The sculpt and detail are good but because they are hollow and light, they do feel little cheap. Plus they aren't very sturdy on their stands.
The Energon cubes are cool... except for the one that doesn't light up - I'm hoping the batteries are just dead.
Overall, I am happy with the Quintessons and Energon cubes. They are cool but I can only recommend them to G1 enthusiasts.

Were they on sale when you got them? I'm considering getting atleast the judge.

Thanks for the tip. These guys seem pretty fragile. I'm moving in a month so I'll be extra careful when packing them up.

Nope.. I didn't get them on sale. Ya, if you were to choose one... Quint-01 (Judge) would be the way to go as he is the most recognizable. They display very well but aren't pieces you want to fiddle around too much with.

Re: Post Your Hauls
I've been looking on Ebay for a Wreck-Gar wheel but they're $16 plus shipping. I managed to find this guy (figure and wheel) for $16 shipped. His name was misspelled in the listing. Now I have 2 figures, anyone want to buy one?

Re: Post Your Hauls
G1 Superion with all the gestalt pieces from Ebay for $69. Seemed like a decent deal, cheapest one I could find sold for $59. And the seller was a Canadian.
Got him today, everything seemed to be decent for a 24 year old toy. Description was accurate, he was in used condition. Will probably have to reprolabel him sometime. But for one detail, description specifically said not broken or repaired.
But Silverbolts legs are broken, and were screwed back together. Once I took the joint apart I could see how it was done. I'm too nice, and and still a newbie when it comes to Ebay. I probably should have dinged him bad for it. But since Silverbolt seems to sell for $6 to $20 I figured it's not worth the trouble to send him back or get another Superion. I'll just keep an eye out for a cheap replacement Silverbolt.
But I am happy that my goal of a set of the big combiners by xmas is now almost complete, as well thanks to some help from forum members here. I may be doing a lot of repro labeling next year =)

I got mine from Ebay earlier this year from a local seller (free pickup) for $55, just missing the 4 little guns and the ramp. I also have another loose Silverbolt if you're still looking.

Re: Post Your Hauls
This came in the mail at home today:
- Gundam Weapons - Gundam 00 Special Edition III Return The World [from Amazon.co.jp]
- manga: Maken-Ki!! vol.5 [from Amazon.co.jp]
This is only the small portion of the Amazon Japan manga/book haul; the rest should be coming in the next day or two.
