IDW Comics MTMTE & RID

Both comics are great in their own ways, and I currentl have them on file downloaded on my computer. But reading the comics on the computer is not as fun as reading the actual comic in hand. Sometimes, I read the comics on my bed and then my neck hurts as I am laying down. I actually have the DoOP, RID issue 1 to 15, MTMTE issue 1, will it cost me a lot if I want to purchase the rest of them? I am not a fan of TP comics.

Re: IDW Comics MTMTE & RID

I know my local shop does not have many of the back issues in stock. With MTMTE and FormerRiD both reaching Issue #50 in February, you will be looking at 100 individual issues to collect before taking into consideration what you already own.

You said you are not a fan of Trade paperbacks, but with the amount of issues needed to complete the collection or at least get caught up, it would be your best bet (in my humble opinion) if you require the physical copies in order to keep the costs low.

A little less than a year ago I went in for the Humble Bundle to get up to issue #40 (I believe) for the electronic versions but have gotten the individual issues since. At $4.50 to $5.50 an issue for what would be 20 issues soon, you may be looking at $100+, versus the $60 to $80 for the trade paperbacks.

I vote to go with the Trade Paperbacks to keep space and cost low if all you want is to collect the complete set to date.

There's also the omnibus versions you could look for.

Just wanted to let you know RID gets really good later on. I'd say after issue 35 or 40 it's been beating MTMTE for me.

Re: IDW Comics MTMTE & RID

When I was reading RID, I found that RID was kind of boring, no humour, no sarcasm we didn't even have Swerve and Eject type conversations

Re: IDW Comics MTMTE & RID

I don't want to create a new thread, instead, I would like to re-post here. I have fallen way behind in the issues. I am currently at MTMTE issue 17, I have a lot of catching up to do. So I am wondering what's better, buy the comics from where I am, or get the TB's.

I have a bunch of them in doubles if you are interested.

I have these:

Robots in Disguise 28-31
More Than Meets The Eye 1, 28-31

If you'd like to buy them let me know.

Re: IDW Comics MTMTE & RID

Well I downloaded from the internet I have the Ongoing (Megatron's origin) to Windblade part 4. I am missing RID issue 15 to current and MTMTE issue 2 to current in actual comic books.

Re: IDW Comics MTMTE & RID

Besides from eBay and local comic book stores (they don't have all of them), IDW is the only online store to purchase non-digital comics?
