Took me a minute to figure out what you did there, but now that I see it... brilliant stuff Buhawi!

Now I just need a full set of Stunticons to go with my Motormaster.

I personally don't like to cut or break anything but thats just me.

I've seen some other fan modes which look just as good IMO without needing to break anything...

I appreciate you sharing though! Anything is better than the stock transformation...

You can achieve an effect that is very close to Buhawi's mod, without cutting or unscrewing anything. Wheels on the outside of the legs and the leg flaps aren't used, since they're still on the instep.

It's slightly less "locked in", but it looks good, and it allows for wider leg positions... though I've heard that the leg rotation pegs above the knees are pretty flimsy, so I am concerned about whether that will put too much strain on them.

Obviously the official transformation sucks, but at least the figure itself is versatile to get a variety of alternative transformations out of it for a better looking Menasor.

Re: The Montreal/Quebec Local Fans Banter Thread

btw sad to say that hotspot's thigh swivels are flimsier.

It's obvious when you have him in combiner mode and you try to move the thighs and try to ratchet it. It bends and quite far when you move the thigh while holding the thighs or worse the calves. Sometimes it bends and you can see the swivel head. I move mine holding the ratchet. so it doesn't stress those tiny pegs.

You'll see when you have him in hand. scary actually.

Ugh. I hate stuff like that. Reminds me of Leader Jetfire's hip pegs. When you look at them, you're like "really?? THAT's what are holding his legs on??"

Re: The Montreal/Quebec Local Fans Banter Thread

I read and saw somewhere appollyon having a tiny swivel in his waist. Combine that with overall tightness of the toys joints (except the ball joints)... Disaster is bound to happen. Same thing with TFC constructicons. A lot of the swivels were designed too small.

Same with CW voyagers... All that to accommodate the right aesthetic.

I've seen a great solution in past iterations but have been abandoned probably due to complaints of parts popping off, in relative safety of course and in favor of not breaking the parts.

I first saw the warning sign in my first TF purchased as an adult. Years back. I still appreciate the design to this day.

I've heard and read some mushroom pegs breaking off. I own so many alternators and never broke one.
