Combiner Wars Devastator Officially Reissued, Pre-Orders Live

I had this one ordered from Toys R Us back in 2015, but decided to return it.

A few months later, I believe it went as low as $89.99+tax from Wal*Mart, but still passed on it.

After watching a bunch of YouTube reviews, felt some FOMO, ended up purchasing the Unite Warriors version, but never opened it 'cause shortly afterward the scaled down KO version got released, so ordered those.

The Hasbro, the Unite Warriors and even the KO, any of these versions are quite spectacular!

Hopefully there's no mould degradation. The Combiner Wars figures were pretty floppy when combined.

The UW version is so fucking good. I wouldn't expect Hasbro to use the Takara retools, but Shane they didn't opt to include the individual guns.

The silver rims. Weapons. Better knees on scavenger and bonecrusher. Actual fucking elbows on scrapper and better elbows on hook and long haul. UW is just this litany of improvements. My only real preference for CW is bonecrusher tread color and I prefer the brighter silver face.

I have the UW version, so I guess this is a pass for me. Can't justify the increased price over how much it originally cost as well.

Maybe we might get another Devastator in the future from Hasbro. Out of all the combiners, he's definitely the most popular. Would definitely like better looking individual bot for each of them. I guess we'll see.

The only big thing on the UW version that bugs me is that the Decpticon symbol on Scrapper's scoop is a sticker rather than a tampograph. Other than that, everything else is nitpicking on my part.

Yup. That was up before the re-release was listed. That might be original stock. The price was $600, but dropped pretty quickly once the Hasbro pre-order went up.
